It takes courage to look for help, especially when you’re not even sure where to begin. You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just know that something needs to change. I believe effective therapy provides practical tools to help you feel better now, while also creating a safe space to explore the roots of your struggles and create lasting change. My role isn't just to listen, but to truly understand what's happening beneath the surface. Together, we'll move beyond just coping and toward genuine healing, helping you reconnect with your own strength and find a clear path forward.
My areas of practice include, but are not limited to:
Anxiety & Depression
Trauma & PTSD
Relationships
Self-Esteem & Self-Worth
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
ADHD & Neurodivergence
Grief & Loss
Stress Management
Eating Disorders
Spirituality
Feeling truly seen and understood is the foundation of healing. That’s why my first priority is to create a space that is affirming and welcoming to people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. Here, you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment.
This isn't about analyzing what's 'wrong' with you. It's about getting curious about why you feel the way you do, so you can start making intentional choices that lead to lasting, meaningful change. Using a body-mind-spirit approach, we’ll tailor every session to your unique needs and goals.
My work is deeply inspired by my own journey through struggle and transformation. I know what it feels like to search for a way through the unimaginable and to come out the other side. This lived experience, combined with my clinical training, allows me to offer a space that is both deeply empathetic and grounded in effective therapeutic techniques.
In our sessions, I draw from several powerful, evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Inner Child and Parts Work. While these are just labels, what matters is how they can help you. For example, our work together might involve:
Above all, my approach is affirming of your identity and your lived experiences. With me, you can let go of any masks and just show up however you are. The work we do is about helping you move from just surviving your life, or operating on autopilot, to actually experiencing your experiences.
My promise is to offer a therapeutic experience that is as dynamic and real as you are, because I don't hide behind a clinical mask. I will be in it with you, navigating the messy parts with directness, gentleness, or humour—whatever the moment calls for. You will have a passionate and engaged partner in the difficult and rewarding work of changing your life.
The work we do together is about deepening your connection with yourself, others, and the world. You can live the life you deserve, one filled with more authenticity, joy, and fulfillment.
If you're ready to start, I'm here to help. And if you're not quite there yet, know that being ready to be ready is a perfect place to begin.
Living with anxiety or depression is exhausting. It can feel like you're watching your own life from a distance, trying to run a marathon every day just to keep up. The ease, lightness, and warmth you see in others can feel completely out of reach—as though you're doing life wrong and they somehow have it right—leaving you with a sense of dread or numbness.
My goodness, I get this. And I want you to know there is another way to live.
Therapy offers a path to understanding and moving through these overwhelming feelings. We will find practical ways to address both the symptoms and their underlying causes, helping you reclaim your energy and feel more present and connected to your life again.
Closeness and intimacy to another person is more than just a desire, it is a basic human need. Relationship counselling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection in all stages of their relationship. Therapy can also serve as a way to strengthen an already good thing. Our sessions offer a supportive place where there is an opportunity to discuss issues and solutions to better improve any relationship, whether romantic, platonic, work-related, parental, etc. From a neutral perspective, I am here to listen to what you have to say and help illuminate both sides of a situation. It is important to understand your relationship dynamics, and see the other’s point of view.
Our lives may be shaped by particularly prominent events that can keep us stuck in a distressing place and affect our relationships and other aspects of life. Individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances like anxiety, fear, and hopelessness which can linger and interfere with our sense of safety or ability to connect with others. Our work together can lead you to overcoming these symptoms, and help you get unhooked from the trauma in your past that is intruding on your present.
It’s not always easy to feel good about yourself if you don’t believe you’re worthy. We will challenge your negative thoughts rooted in harmful self-talk, and practice self-compassion. Learning to accept and love yourself is the foundation for living the life you want and deserve.
It is possible to reclaim control of your life, to stop listening to the irrational thoughts that your mind can not stop obsessing over. It is possible to develop trust within yourself, rather than replaying the worst-case scenarios in your mind. Having been around OCD extensively, I truly understand what you're going through. I want to help you become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Breaking free from OCD can feel like unlocking a cage where, in time, the door is opened, and the world lies at your feet.
Living in a world that often misunderstands or pathologizes difference can be exhausting. Whether you’ve been navigating ADHD for years, were recently identified as being on the autism spectrum, suspect you might be neurodivergent, or are seeking guidance around assessment, I’m here to support you.
We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, honouring your way of thinking and relating as we gently explore and untangle the layers of masking, burnout, or self-doubt that may have built up over time. I also offer tools and strategies to support executive functioning, emotional regulation, and everyday life—helping you function at your best not in spite of your differences, but by drawing on the unique strengths they offer.
With me, you won’t need to work so hard to explain yourself. I get it.
Grief doesn’t follow a timeline or a checklist, and it can show up with any loss or major life transition. The loss of a relationship, a role, a future you imagined, or even a sense of identity can all bring deep, complicated grief. Our work together will involve holding space for your unique experience without judgment, finding meaning in the loss or change, and gently moving toward healing and a new way of living with what’s changed.
I will act as a sounding board for you to talk about whatever stresses you are experiencing. We’d start by identifying the causes of your stress and work together to develop better ways to manage these issues. There are many benefits to stress management. Imagine the possibility of having more energy for other things in your life, being able to maintain resilience, have more patience, better focus and memory, improve other brain functions, and have greater access to your intuition. Reducing stress can have huge impacts on your physical, mental, and emotional health.
Psychotherapy does not replace the essential care of a physician or specialized eating disorder practitioner. Sometimes it is helpful to have mental and emotional support while overcoming an eating disorder, and psychotherapy can be beneficial in that case. I have a unique understanding of the effects an eating disorder can have on the body, mind, and emotions, and am able to support you in those areas. In addition to your specialized practitioner, we could look closely at some of the thoughts and feelings associated with your eating disorder to help you become more aware of the chain that leads to these disordered behaviours. We would also analyze your core beliefs to see if we can pinpoint what might have influenced the manifestation of the eating disorder.
There is a belief that well-being includes the combined health of a person’s mind, body, and soul. The spiritual component of my practice looks at freeing the mind of any negative energies and replacing them with positive healing energies that restore all elements of well-being. Individuals who suffer from any type of emotional imbalance may choose to rely on forms of spiritual therapy to help them overcome obstacles. An individual may place their beliefs in a supreme being for guidance or simply draw strength and beliefs from within. By gaining the self-confidence to feel empowered, spirituality in therapy can address many forms of distress such as grief, relationship issues or everyday stress.
I am a member of Psychotherapy Matters, a virtual circle-of-care program that connects therapists and their clients with psychiatrists for assessment, diagnosis, and medication support if needed. If we decide a psychiatric consultation would be helpful, I will facilitate this and be there with you throughout the whole process.
